This season they outclassed every team and fan. They lost only one group game against Lahore Qalandars by 52 runs and got the first spot on PSL 7 points table 2022.
This season was a nightmare for Karachi Kings as they win only one game out of ten.

PSL 7 Qualifier Match Scorecard
In the first qualifier of PSL 7, Multan Sultan faced the second team at the points table (LQ). MS batted first, and with the help of the fifties by Muhammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw, they set a total of 163 on the board and lost only two wickets. Muhammad Hafeez bowled a great spell and conceded only 16 runs in 4 overs.
In reply, Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant inning of 63 runs on 45 balls. But batters from the other end keep losing their wickets. Eventually, Fakhar lost his wicket, and Qalandar’s lost the match. Shahnawaz Dhani who was playing his first season played a vital role in MS’s wins with his three wickets.

PSL 7 Eliminator Scorecards
The third and fourth teams on PSL 7 points tables, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United played the first Eliminator at Lahore. Zalmi batted first and made 169 runs in 20 overs. IU chased down this total on the third bowl of the 20th over. Alex Hales made 62 runs with a strike rate of 126.

The loser of the qualifier and eliminator one faces each other in eliminator 2. Lahore scored 168 runs, with help of Abdullah Shafiq’s half-century and David Wiese’s 28 runs on just eight balls.
Despite strong efforts from Alex Hales and Azam Khan, Islamabad United was unable to secure the victory and lost all ten wickets at 162 runs, with two balls remaining in the game.

Lahore Qalandars claimed their first title by defeating the Sultans in the final of PSL 7. Multan Sultans’s lost only two games this season, both against Lahore Qalandars. They won the game by 42 runs in the final while defending 180 runs. Muhamad Hafeez won man of the match for his 69 runs and two wickets.
