We regularly witness expensive spells in T20 leagues like the IPL. As a result, the opposition team set a very high target for the chasing team, making it challenging to recover the lost position. Sometimes it has a very negative effect on the bowler and makes recovery difficult.
As everything depends entirely on luck, any renowned bowler can even bowl expensive spells.
It’s important to remember, too, that expensive spells are not always a sign of a bowler’s embarrassing season. In truth, some of the most dangerous bowlers in IPL history have had expensive spells. We can say that famous fast bowlers are separated from average bowlers by their ability to bounce back after an expensive spell and keep on bowling.
