MI New York finalized their squad, players, and coaching staff. Nine international players are in the 18-member player roster. Mumbai Indians’ fifth sister franchise is MI New York, abbreviated as MINYC is a Cricket franchise in Major League Cricket. In addition to IPL, the MI franchise competed in ILT20, SA T20, and Women IPL.
The first game of MI New York in MLC is scheduled for 14th July 2023 at grand prairie stadium against San Fransico Unicorns.
MI New York Final Squad for MLC 2023
MI New York attempted to build a balanced team of youthful guns with an aggressive mindset and seasoned talents to dominate the league. Key players from their sister franchises in other leagues are being used. The BCCI has refused to allow Indian national team players to play in the MLC.

International Player in MINYC Squad
Kieron Pollard, a former legendary all-rounder and current batting consultant for the Mumbai Indians, has been named MI New York’s captain. Since IPL 2008, he has been a key member of the Mumbai Indians. He has also participated in leagues including the PSL, CPL, BPL, and BBL.
From the Mumbai Indians, the teams selected Australian all-rounder Tim David, South African batter Dewald Brewis, and pacer Jason Behrendorff.
Leg spin sensation Rashid Khan from Afghanistan and South African speed gun Kagiso Rabada are part of MI Captown from the SA T20 league.
MI picked left-arm Kiwi bowler Trent Boult and West Indian captain Nicholas Pooran from the IL T20. Namibian David Wiese is the only foreign player representing the MI franchise in any league for the first time.

American National Local Player in MINYC Squad
The franchise selected the local players in the draft held in March of this year. MINYC selects both current captain Monank Patel and former skipper Steven Taylor of the US national cricket team in the draft. Shayan Jahangir, Kyle Phillip, and Nosthush Kenjige are the team’s other US national players.

MI New York Batting and Bowling Coaches
MINYC’s coaching team consists of four people. Robin Peterson, the former South African and MI player, has been named head coach. Lasith Maling, the Mumbai Indians’ yorker king, will take over as bowling coach. Former US national team batting coach Jagadeesh Arun Kumar will focus on batting skills, while James Pamment will be the fielding coach. They are all closely cooperating with other MI franchises in other leagues.
