Any batter in 20-over cricket aims to hit as many sixes as possible, given sixes are vital to the game’s result. The same case is with the Pakistan Super League, in which batters try to entertain their fans through the biggest sixes as much as possible. In some cases, the final outcome of a match relies entirely on the innings of a single batter. More sixes led to more runs that improved a strike rate of a batter. Hence, any team posts a big total on the board and puts themselves in a victory position in the match. In PSL, Ben Dunk hits the most sixes in an inning, with the number being 12 in PSL history.

Ben Dunk | 12 VS Karachi Kings
Ben Dunk holds the Pakistan Super League record for most sixes (12) in an inning. He set this record during a PSL 2020 match between the Lahore Qalandars and the Karachi Kings. In this season he hit most sixes than any batter. He scored 99 runs off 44 balls, including 12 sixes and four fours. About 72 percent runs of this innings came from sixes, the highest among PSL batters.
Ben Dunk | 10 VS Quetta Gladiators
This was the first time Ben Dunk achieved a record of hitting ten sixes in an inning. It happened in PSL 2020, where Ben Dunk set the record. Later on, he broke his own record by hitting 12. He scored 90 runs versus Quetta Gladiators with ten sixes and more than a 200-strike rate. Sixty-six runs of this innings came from sixes which is a record batter like Ben Dunk achieved.
Shadab Khan | 9 VS Multan Sultans
Classic hitter Shadab Khan occasionally provided Islamabad United with excellent innings. One of his innings came in PSL 07 (2022) when he hit 91 runs on 42 balls in a match against Multan Sultan. He hit 09 sixes with a strike rate of 216 (one of the fastest in IU history). Fifty-nine percent of his runs came from hitting sixes which is a major achievement for Shadab.
Umar Akmal | 8 VS Quetta Gladiators
Umar Akmal started his PSL career in a fantastic way, but sadly he could not proceed further. In PSL 2016, he played some brilliant innings of his PSL career. One of the best was against Quetta Gladiators, in which he scored 93 runs on 40 balls with 08 sixes. This was the most number of sixes in innings at that time. Fifty-one percent of his runs in that innings came from sixes which is a major achievement.
Sharjeel Khan | 8 VS Peshawar Zalm
Sharjeel Khan hit 08 sixes in PSL 2016 in a match against Peshawar Zalmi. He scored 117 runs on 62 balls with a strike rate of 188. Forty-one percent of his innings run came from sixes in this match which was a notable record in PSL at that time.
Kevin Pietersen | VS 8 Vs Lahore Qalandars
Kevin Pietersen has played a few seasons of PSL, and he has his name on this list of the most sixes in an inning of PSL. In PSL 2017, he hit 08 sixes in an inning and scored 88* runs for Quetta Gladiators. In this inning, 54 percent of his runs came from sixes.
Kamran Akmal | 8 VS Karachi Kings
Kamran Akmal has been a consistent part of Peshawar Zalmi from the start of PSL. He has many records to his name in PSL, whether the fastest fifty, most centuries or one of the highest runs scorers in PSL.
In PSL 2018, he hit 08 sixes in an inning with the help of a 285-strike rate. He scored 77 runs on 27 balls and helped Peshawar Zalmi to post a sensible total. Sixty-two percent of his innings came from sixes out of the boundary.

Colin Ingram has the highest runs in an innings of PSL. In PSL 2019, he hit 08 sixes in an inning and scored 127* runs on 59 balls. He scored this inning against Quetta Gladiators. Thirty-seven percent of his innings runs came from sixes he hit out of the boundary.
Chris Lynn | 8 VS Multan Sultans
Chris Lynn also hit 08 sixes in an inning of a PSL match in 2020. In this inning, he scored 113 runs on 55 balls with a 205 strike rate. Forty-two percent of his runs in this innings came from sixes he hit out of the boundary. This inning is also one of the highest scores in PSL history.
Sharjeel Khan | 8 VS Islamabad United
Sharjeel Khan played some of the best cricket in his PSL career. In PSL 2021, he hit sixes in an inning of a PSL match. He scored 105 runs on 59 balls with a strike rate of 177 in a game between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Forty-five percent of his innings runs came from sixes he hit out of the boundary.
