The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will kick off with an opening game between former champions England and New Zealand. The ICC is announcing everything accordingly, including the schedule, list of broadcast channels, live streaming websites, umpires, and the list of commentators for the ODI World Cup 2023.
Commentators are one of the main components of any game. Most of them are former cricketers and have in-depth knowledge of the game. They share their experiences, strategies, and analysis on every ball. Moreover, their analysis helps every spectator stay engaged with every ball.
Some of the words spoken by commentators have become so popular that people love to listen to them again and again. For instance, Indian fans will always remember the lines said by Ravi Shastri about Rohit Sharma’s double century against Australia in 2013.
” What a way to bring up two hundred in one day international they call him hitman and he has arrived at the party”.
Similarly, Pakistani fans love to hear English commentator Nasir Hussain’s commentary on Mohammad Amir’s bowling against India in the Champions Trophy. During that match, Azhar Ali dropped the catch of King Kohli off Mohammad Amir’s delivery, but Shadab Khan managed to take the catch on the very next ball. Nasir Hussain’s comments were:
” Pakistan Cricket at it best one minute down next minute up.”
